Lakeside Wedding in Kenora, Ontario
I will never forget this lakeside wedding in Kenora, Ontario! From the little details, to the welcoming friends and family, to the crazy adventure we took, everything was perfect!
The entire day was spent in Kenora, Ontario throughout two cabins, a beautiful lakeside backyard, and last but certainly not least, a huge rock wall which the couple belayed off of in their wedding attire. Most people only wear their wedding dress once, so why not do something crazy in it!
Lakeside Wedding Ceremony
The lakeside wedding ceremony took place in the sweetest spot, grandma and grandpa’s backyard. The couple planned for months to host their closest friends and family in the sentimental location. I just loved photographing interactions between all the people. There was so much joy to document!
It seemed the sun started shining right as the bride walked out into the backyard. What was expected to be a colder, possibly rainy day, turned out to be a gorgeous fall day instead. Sweet vows were said, dogs rustled around in the bushes, and quite a few tears were shed. No microphones were needed, so we were fully immersed in the beauty of the lake. You could hear the birds singing, the water gently crashing, and a little bit of wind whistling through the trees. It was such a beautiful and peaceful wedding ceremony.
And just like that, they were married! Flowers were thrown down from the cabin porch as people celebrated the newly wed couple. In the sunshine, hugs and congratulations were given. Everyone was able to truly soak in the moment.
Rock Climbing Adventure
When things were settled, we hopped in a truck and headed for the rock wall! Two rock climbing experts helped the couple into their gear, and their descent began! The fall leaves, the mossy rock, and the sun peeking through the trees made for such stunning images. I truly love documenting adventures like these.
We made it back to the reception just in time. Rain came as everyone made it inside. We stayed cozy and warm as we ate delicious food and listened to sweet speeches. There was so much goodness to capture.
The night ended with drinks and dancing of course! I always love photographing a good party!
